Community Win: Semaphore Park Playground

At the last state election, I was pleased to announce $250,000 for a redeveloped playground in Semaphore Park.

After extensive community consultation and input from residents, I can announce that the funding will support the upgrade of two playgrounds - Beachway Avenue and Point Malcolm Reserve.

This will be a big improvement for the community’s recreational facilities, and gives families a choice between two areas for children’s play. 

The local council will develop designs for the playgrounds. I will keep the community informed about the progress of these designs.

I would like to thank all the residents who completed and returned my survey on the upgrades, your input was invaluable in determining the allocation of funding and will now assist in the design of the facilities in both reserves.

I am glade that together we have been able to contribute to delivering these improved facilities.
