$10 million Small Business Development Fund

On 28 January 2016, the South Australian Government announced the establishment of a Small Business Development Fund (SBDF), a $10 million initiative to assist small businesses in northern Adelaide to grow and create jobs.

The Fund is an initiative under the Northern Economic Plan that will support small businesses to grow and create multiple, ongoing jobs in northern Adelaide, providing financial support through two grant programs over three years.

Start-up Business Grants: $20,000 grants ($4 million total) to assist entrepreneurship and new business establishment in northern Adelaide and;
 
Business Expansion Grants : between $10,000 and $100,000 ($6 million total) to support activities that grow small, established businesses in the north
