Entries are open to South Australia’s Low Carbon Entrepreneur Prize

The problem

Climate change is having a huge impact across the globe. We need the best entrepreneurial ideas to reduce our carbon footprint, create sustainable industries and a greener economy. But we can't do it without you.

The task

The global search for solutions has begun. We’re looking for entrepreneurs to come up with world's best solutions, ideas and technologies to help Adelaide reduce its carbon emissions and become the world's first carbon neutral city.

The prize

South Australia's Low Carbon Entrepreneur Prize is providing AUD$250,000 to fund individuals to make their idea a reality in Adelaide. If you’re not from South Australia, the prize will also include return flights and accommodation.

Wednesday 16 March
This is the submissions phase. We’re looking for entrepreneurial solutions from around the world to reduce our carbon footprint.

Entries close

Monday 30 May, 5pm
This is the last opportunity to submit your project. Please note that this is Australian Central Standard Time, so ensure you know when the deadline closes in your part of the world.

Finalists announced

June 2016
The finalists will be announced and provided with the support to make their idea a reality.

Winners announced

October 2016
The best solutions will be awarded as winners of the Adelaide to Zero Carbon Challenge.
